God is our strength in all trials and tribulations. Never let any trial become bigger in our minds than God who made all things for a purpose and has promised that he is working all things together for our good. If we consciously keep God bigger than the test, his grace will flow into our hearts. This will build our character and we will approach every test with the conviction of an overcomer in Christ. Then we watch him work in every circumstance, we can actually perceive what he is doing and know that the victory is sure. As we continue to watch and experience his power and faithfulness, this builds our hope. This “hope" will never disappoint us, it just continues to grow and grow because he has given us the Holy Spirit.
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.” - Roman 5:1-5 (NIV)
